C & U Steel Channel - Sizes, Applications

What is steel channel?

Like other hollow sections, channels are rolled from steel plates into C or U shapes. It consists of a wide "net" and two "flanges". The flanges can be parallel or tapered.

How many surface treatments we supply?

Steel channels are widely used in many applications. There are three main types of surface treatments for conditional encoding. Black or untreated steel is not used very often and can easily rust without any protective coating. Hot-dip galvanizing and priming are common treatments. A zinc coating resists environmental and weather corrosion, and a primer is even better. You can choose any one according to your application.

Where will the channel steel be used?

Steel channels are one of the most popular parts in construction and manufacturing. Apart from that, C-channel and U-channel are also used in our daily life if you pay great attention to them like stair stringers. But because its bending axis is not centered on the flange width, structural channels are not as strong as I-beams or wide-flange beams.
